Random Acts of Prevention
Substance Abuse Prevention has become a scientific field based on sound research and principles. Through this process, the field has learned that it takes more than just education to keep youth, and in turn, communities drug and violence free. Successful prevention efforts require the commitment of the entire community. With this in mind, GSSAC created the "Random Acts of Prevention" award to recognize and honor groups that contribute to the prevention effort simply by doing what they believe to be right.
This month GSSAC is recognizing and thanking Millwood Farmers' Market for not allowing alcoholic beverages to be sampled or present at their market.
