MADD's Spokane Community Action Site

MADD LogoThe Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council is the location for MADD's Community Action Site in Eastern Washington.  Volunteers are always welcome and we are currently looking for DUI crash victims who are interested in sharing their story of the crash that changed their lives at the Spokane County DUI Victims Panels or other educational forums.

What is a Community Action Site?

Just as MADD is an organization for more than just mothers, Community Action Sites are designed for people of all races, ethnicities, genders, and ages. We are a group of concerned citizens who are supporting MADD's mission to stop impaired driving and underage drinking and to bring those goals to fruition in our state through MADD Washington.  We are committed to bringing a voice to citizens in Spokane County who want to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.

As a Community Action Site, what does GSSAC do?

Our volunteers give their time to act as agents of change in Spokane County by supporting MADD's Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving.  Volunteers who are victims are empowered by the opportunities to share their stories at educational events and the victims panel, and by opportunities to support public policy initiatives and policymaker education.
